London artist Eelus has a new print available that caught my eye. “Dress Up” is such a simple image, but uses an insane 31 colors. This 28″x28″ silkscreen print is an edition of 120, but a hefty price tag of £225 (Roughly $333 American) has kept this print from selling out. If you like it, you can pick one up for yourself here. Painter Mark Brown has a show titled “Daydreams” opening tonight at Gallery 1988 in San Francisco, CA. Information about the show can be found here. To accompany the show opening, the gallery has produced an extremely limited and affordable giclee print titled “Mmm… Candy”. The print measures 16×20 inches and is limited to only 35 pieces, signed and numbered. You can buy it at the Gallery 1988 Website.

On June 18 Dead Arts Publishing is announcing the release of Aaron Horkey’s Retrospective Letterpress Series. This will be part 1 in a 6 part series, with the rest coming out soon. Series 1 will costs $260 and will be limited to the amount sold in a 4 hour window on Friday June 18th (10am-2pm PST)
While photos of the actual product remain scarce, you can imagine the quality of these images meets Horkey’s eye for detail. You can get an idea of the actual product by the photo above. Images included in the first installment of this series are: The Rook (newly created for Series 1), The Scavenger (Fantomas – seen above), Drifting Monument (Racebannon) and Goatmeal (Melvins). Each of these images are available for purchase seperately as well, except The Rook, info after the break.

This wonderful illustration by The Little Friends of Printmaking brings me back to sitting on a carpeted floor with a stack of Golden Books. I saw it on their Flickr page a few months ago, which explained that it was originally for Giant Robot’s “Year of the Tiger” show back in February, but due to some unfortunate equipment failure it was never printed. It looks like things got rolling again and they got a chance to go back and make this beautiful print which is now available in their webstore.

Tiny Showcase consistently works with fantastic artists and one of their latest releases is quite intriguing. “The Walk” by artist Bruce Wilhelm is a 6″x5″ giclee print in an edition of 100 for only $20.
