This is just unreal animation. BUCK created this commercial for Good Books, a book store where all profits go to charity. The animation and script is themed around Hunter S. Thompson and flows exquisitely from one melting image to the next. You’ve got to watch this a couple times to really soak it all in. Video and screenshots below.

Also See: Collapse, streaming on Netflix for extended homework on this subject. Michael Ruppert chain smokes and blasts you with fear. It’s fun! Promise. (more…)

If you enjoy this, please donate to help Dean get his heart transplant. This is one of our nations most vibrant poets and I’ve been told he’s one hell of a teacher. (more…)

A lot of traditional artists materials went into the making of this poppin video for “A.R.I.Z.O.N.A” by Star Beav. It appears the track is from 2003. The video, by Sean Christensen of Square One Cinema, is recent.
As a Tucsonan, I can tell you that many of the strange depictions of this video are true desert imagery; isolated, bizarre and likely ordered by greater oddities from outer space. See that lizard licking the satellite? A shape shifter. (more…)

Meet Buck is an animated short by a group associated with the ones behind Salesman Pete. Meet Buck is primarily a chase scene as well, but has no dialog and a more painterly illustrated look. You can watch the animation in HD at Vimeo. It is embedded below along with some screenshots. These two shorts are some of the most fresh and beautiful animation I’ve seen in quite some time. (more…)
