Now this is something to get excited about! One of our favorite artists James Jean and Pressure Printing have teamed up to make this unbelievable intaglio print.
This exquisite print is 29” x 16”, with a paper size of 36” x 23”. Two color plates were used, and on the special edition, artist James Jean has hand colored certain areas to really bring this piece to life.
A few of the process pics are after included the break, but there are a ton of process photos that you MUST check out over at Pressure Printing’s blog.

That has always been my favorite image of his. Bummed that it is such a small/expensive edition that keeps it out of my reach, but at the same time its so refreshing to see an artist put out a low run of prints on quality paper and printed by hand using a classic printing method. The image deserves it!
Wow! I love this print! There’s so much involved, you could just stare at it forever and still see new elements to it.
Ah the joys and and despair of seeing the talents of somebody far better than you. It’s like clumsily trying to play Smells Like Teen Spirit while the Nudge is deflecting bullets with his rocking. Nice composition, nice color. One word summary: nice.
