Evan B. Harris is an exceptional folk artist from Oregon. We found his artwork from the cover of the (emotionally devastating) documentary Dear Zachary. Shepard Fairey Charity Auctions

Shepard Fairey is involved in a few charity auctions including one of his original ‘Burmese Monk’ paintings, seen above. If you’ve got deep pockets, this stunning piece is available to bid on here.

If you’ve got deeper pockets (and the ego to match) you can bid on the chance to have the artist create a portrait of you in a Live Sitting with Fairey.

Both of the above auctions benefit The Art of Elysium which has programs that benefit children with serious medical conditions. Bidding ends March 4th.

There is also an ebay auction of an original “Lotus Ornament” painting with proceeds going to Make It Right (benefitting the rebuilding of New Orleans lower 9th Ward) Bidding goes until March 8th.

You can view the truly beautiful ‘Burmese Monk’ painting after the break.

Matthew Curry

Matthew Curry

Matthew Curry is a DC-based, Grammy nominated designer / illustrator / painter who we’ve been following for quite some time now. His paintings, while chaotic, are able to pull your eye to key elements and avoid leaving you feeling overwhelmed when looking at them. The earthy works seem to be graffiti-inspired with an Asian influence, often depicting dragons and scaly patterns.  We’ll get to the bottom of this in our upcoming interview with Matthew. Until then, enjoy his work at his Website, and check out iPhone shots of his most recent work (and cute dog) at his Flickr.

More images after the break.

Dave Hill

We are amazed at the work of Dave Hill. The photographer manages to create a rather complex narrative within each of his images.

Along with a hefty portfolio, the artist has a “Behind the Scenes” area of his website that offers mini documentary-style videos of his travels photographing various projects.

Visit his portfolio to view all of his commercial and personal work at http://www.davehillphoto.com.
